Summer is finally here! What better place to spend summertime with the fam than the beach. It doesn't matter which beach you choose to spend your vacation at as long as you have fun. Munting Buhangin Beach Camp is the place where we decided to spend our summer vacation. Join me as i reminisce about this wonderful day.
Munting Buhangin is located in Nasugbu, batangas, Barangay Wawa. It's about 70+ kilometres from Tagaytay Rotonda and about an hours drive depending on the traffic and on how fast you drive. Tagaytay to Nasugbu is basically a breeze to drive give or take a few SLOW moving 10 wheelers in your way and just one lane to grab a chance to overtake them and the curves in the road doesn't make it easy for you. A little past barangay Wawa is where it gets stressful on the driver and your vehicle so you have to make sure you bring a reliable vehicle with you.
Barangay Wawa is where you will start travelling up and down STEEP hills and mountains. After a couple minutes driving up the mountainside you will run into the gates of Munting Buhangin but that's not where it ends, right past the gates you still have to descend a steep road until you reach the parking area. The check your brakes signs every turn doesn't help in easing our minds going down that road.
Once you find a parking spot, it's time to gather all your stuff, and i mean all your stuff! Food is allowed into the resort so don't worry about corkage charges. The reason why i said to gather all your stuff is because you still need to walk down past 100+ steps to get to the beach area and believe me you won't want to walk all the way back to your car to get what you left behind, trust me, i made that mistake.
Day rates are 180php per head and overnight rates are 330php per person. Food is allowed into the resort, pets aren't. Accomodations range from as low as 900php up to 8,000php. They have a restaurant but i heard that food is expensive there so bring your own baon if you want to save a little.
The day we went there wasn't crowded, just a few families here and there and the occassional fish vendors selling fresh fish from the sea. I counted a total of three lifeguards on duty so it's pretty safe for the kids. Security personel are also doing their rounds every so often for that extra piece of mind. They also have a first aid station.
Munting buhangin shares its shorelines with the exclusive Punta Fuego resort. You'll be getting the same view of the beach, same sand, same waters for alot cheaper than it's neighboring "exclusive" resort.
We opted to stay in one of the Nipa Huts which are located about a stones throw away from the shores, We passed on the airconditioned huts and rooms because we came to the beach to spend time on the beach, not snuggling up in the comforts of an airconditioning unit, we can do that at home! Well we actually skipped on the a/c rooms because we didn't want to pay thousands more for a short stay and besides i love getting dressed in the open in the view of hundreds of passerbys haha! J/K!
Here are a few shots of the beachfront itself, pictures don't do justice of the beauty of it.

The relaxing beauty of nature
Glad to see that the Philippines has some of the finest beaches in the world. Looking forward to our next visit here.
I'm gonna leave you all with shots of the resort's prices and brochure. Thanks for reading my blog.
